SATSUMA SHOE
This design from Raphael Young’s Spring / Summer ’09 collection, named “Satsuma” – after a legendary samurai – won Best Shoe in Overall Style and Design at the 2009 Independent Handbag Designer Awards. Young says of this collection, “All the shoes from this collection bear samurai names as feudal japan was my inspiration. I wanted the shoes to be a feminine interpretation of traditional armors.” Be watching for his exclusive line sold via Verve.com and Footpetals.com - a collabrative venture between Sam Edelman and Footpetals.com founder.
