Shoshanna entered the fashion world in November 1998 with her feminine, sexy, relatively simple and contemporary, never too edgy, sundresses and swimwear line. Since then, it’s no longer just sundresses and swimwear, she created what we refer to as the signature shoshanna line of dresses and a serious following of those drawn to feminine, classically contemporary and extremely sexy pieces…enter Shoshanna swimwear! Do we even need to discuss how much we love her swimwear! Her daughter Sienna was born in 2005, which inspired her to enter the world of children’s swimwear – look for the Shoshanna BabyGirl label – too cute!!!!

Favorite vaca spot?
I love going to the Bahamas with my family. We go to Deep Water Cay in the Grand Bahamas. It is easy to get to and so much fun. My husband loves to fly fish there, and my daughter and I get to swim and beachcomb. It’s so relaxing.
Favorite hotel?
My favorite hotel would have to be the Beverly Hills Hotel. If I could I would live in one of their bungalows, I would. It is so luxurious. I love the retro feel of the hotel. It is really all about 1950′s hollywood glamour.
Favorite restaurant?
My favorite restaurant is probably Nobu 57. I LOVE the food, and my husband and I always have fun there together. I also love Le Charlot. It’s a little french bistro near my home. So good, amazing ambiance.
Favorite cocktail?
Probably a vodka and soda with lots of lime.
Favorite gift to give?
Instead of flowers I love to send popover bouquets from the popover cafe – www.popovercafe.com – For my girlfriends I always like to buy them jewlery from Jennifer Meyer www.barneys.com

How do you define style? Style advice?
Style comes with confidence. I think people who understand their body types, and choose to flatter their own particular body rather than blindly following trends usually have the best style.
Most memorable moment since launching your business?
Seeing the clothes on the floor of Bloomingdales for the first time. I never really thought until that moment, that people were actually going to spend their own hard earned money on my clothes. So happy they did!!!!!!!!
Advice for women entrepreneurs?
Stay true to their ideas and listen to their gut.
