How Joanna Schlip created the look:
Began with clean, well-moisturized skin.
Applied foundation with a brush then powdered to have a modern matte finish.
Added a pop of pink blusher, which gave her complexion a believable, fresh glow.
Brows were kept natural with only a slight definition at the arch with a dark blonde eye brow pencil.
Lashes were curled to open the eyes and then two coats of mascara were applied to both lower and upper lashes for high impact.
Eyes were defined with a smoky shimmer steel grey eye shadow.
Lightly lined along top lash with a warm black liner.
Lined below lower lashes with same shimmer shadow and smudged with custom angled applicator.
Lips were feminine and pretty, lined with a nude pencil and filled in with a beautiful semi-sheer rose lip stick.

We are great fans of this all natural body and skin care line by Ciao Bella!

Available in a variety of subtly scented options including vanilla, lavendar, gardenia, citrus, and more. The rich creams and lotions really moisturize forever…yet are easy to spread and non-greasy! Many ingredients are organic…there’s no mineral oil (yuck!), parabens, or FD&C colors.
A few favorites:
Rejuvenating Sugar Scrub
Replenishing Body Lotion
You must try their baby line, too!

Based on the book by Sex and the City author, Candace Bushnell, Lipstick Jungle is the story of “Movie Exec Wendy Healy, Editor-in-Chief Nico Reilly, and Fashion Designer Victory Ford are modern New York career women supporting each other through triumphs and tears that are all part of making it in the Big Apple.” Familiar faces, Brooke Shields (Wendy), 24’s Kim Raver (Nico) and Lindsay Price as Victory (remember her from 90210?!) star in the series.
I thought the book was definitely good, although not quite great…but I’ll definitely watch the show to see the wardrobes…(this is pretty much my opinion of ABC’s Cashmere Mafia, too).
Set your DVR for Thursday, February 7th at 10 on NBC -until then, watch previews here.
Cute article about Brooke Shields here.

Passchal has made a ‘green’ impact on the accessories market. Creators Ken Kobrick and Angela Greene (interesting her last name:) jumped on this idea back in 1999 when Angela bought a back pack made from inner tubes. After much design / redesign to perfect their creations, the company has now landed in the goodie bags at the 2004 Billboard Music Awards, the Olympus Fashion Week NY in 2005, the Today Show, Entrepreneur Magazine in March of 2006 and Rolling Stone magazine in the summer of 2007, just to name a few….
