Roberto Cavalli plus HM, totally haute…

June 25, 2007

What can I say, one of my favorite haute spots continues to impress me. H&M’s association with amazing designers continues with the announcement that Roberto Cavalli will design a collection consisting of both men’s and women’s clothing.

Other high-end designers associated with H&M include Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor and Rolf and of course my favorite MADONNA!

Dermaquest – Dermalash

June 24, 2007

Our lashes take a beating with mascara, removing mascara and curling. Not to mention rubbing them if you have horrible allergies. Now you can maintain gorgeous lashes easily!
I recently purchased Dermaquest’s Dermalash, and I love it! Dermalash is a nourishing treatment that also stimulates hair follicles, which can result in longer, fuller and more youthful-looking eyelashes. It also strengthens the lashes and prevents breakage and hair loss from assault due to factors such as allergies, pulling, rubbing, lash curling, cosmetics and heat. New lashes can reach their full growth potential, and visible results can be seen in just 3-6 weeks.

Protect Your Color!

June 23, 2007

Matrix announces the launch of Shade Memory, the FIRST complete professional line for color-protective, shade specific hair care. Shade-specific base formulas allow the individual needs of blondes, brunettes and redheads to be addressed most effectively with customized regimens that won’t alter color. This comprehensive color maintenance line boasts a long list of attributes: it repairs damage from color processing, protects color treated hair from fading and UV damage, boosts and refreshes color and enhances radiance and shine.

While all color-treated hair tends to be dry and is easily oxidized, each specific shade of color is prone to unique issues and should be treated with a customized formula. Many product ranges claim to utilize different formulas based on hair color, but only Shade Memory boasts the precise amount of each shade-specific ingredient needed to leave you with a notable difference in vibrancy.

Sparkling Blondes Restorative System – Blonde hair is prone to split ends, breakage, overall damage and dulling. This formula contains restorative ceramides, protective Vitamin E and brightening grapefruit clarifiers to repair, protect and brighten. The fragrance includes an apple citrus fruity top note, while the middle note is a white floral and the bottom note is a musky floral.

Rich Brunettes Dimensional System – Brown hair often succumbs to dryness and can appear undernourished, matte and without depth. This formula contains moisturizing shea butter, nourishing panthenol, high shine oil and protective anti-oxidants to add moisture and create multi-dimensional shine. The top note of the fragrance is woody floral, the middle note is fruity orange and the bottom note is warm vanilla woody.

Vivid Reds Balancing System – Redheads can have uneven porosity and visible color oxidation, so color tends to dull and fade very fast. Balancing protein fortifiers, protective anti-oxidants and micro-shine polishers work together to equalize porosity and boost vibrancy. The fragrance boasts a top note of fruity berry, middle note of red, fruity floral and a woody musky bottom note.

Within each formula, there is a complete range of hair care products to address each shade’s needs:

Shampoos ($15.95 / 13.5 oz) & Conditioners ($16.95 / 13.5 oz)

Shade Memory’s shampoos and conditioner are non-color depositing. All formulas help repair internal damage, protect color and add shine. They are designed for daily use.

Boho Chic

June 22, 2007

The term Boho used to scare me with thoughts of stoned, unbathed, tie-dye clad Grateful Dead worshipers…
Until celebs like Kate Hudson and a new favorite shop, Calypso, updated Bohemian to Boho Chic.

Adi Shirt

Bali Sarong and Bikini

Enfant collection Elise Dress

Don’t miss their home accessories and bath and body lines as well…

THE MANNY BOOK

June 22, 2007

Watch Karen, Tinsley, Carole, Eva and more in this hilarious promo for the book , The Manny, by Holly Peterson.

from Publisher’s Weekly: “Jamie Whitfield, 36, lives on Park Avenue with her three children and her mostly absent high-powered attorney husband, Phillip, and works part-time as a producer for a prime-time news program. She hires Peter Bailey-29 and biding his time until he get funding for his software business-to plug the household’s gaps and be a father figure to nine-year-old Dylan.”

As Plum Sykes says,”Now, there is nothing more amusing than the posh girl falling for The Help, but upright Jamie holds out–for pages and pages and pages–determined not to cheat on her husband. But when Jamie discovers another Alpha Mom has seduced Peter in her linen closet during a play date, it seems only a matter of time before the inevitable happens. “

This book is a riot!
