Mardi Gras

February 19, 2007

The schools scheduled Winter Break a week too early…we can’t make it to Bourbon Street :(
I will, however, be logging-on to NOLA’s Mardi Gras website. Their parade cams bring you the excitement & beauty of the Uptown parades (along with boubocam, beadcam, karaokecam, rivercam, and quartercam).

I’m going to attempt Emeril’s King Cake and go out for Cajun Tuesday evening. Then, on Wednesday, say farewell to Starbucks for 40 days! What are your Fat Tuesday plans??

Beg, Borrow or Steal It

February 14, 2007

We aren’t sure how we feel about this site…Bag Borrow or Steal- haute or not haute??

If you haven’t heard about it, here is how it works:

1. Create an account on the site

2. Select a bag from what we do think is an AMAZING list of haute couture and basic bags from many different designers

3. Receive your bag via the mail

4. Borrow your next item

5. Return your first item

Now, the fine print details – monthly membership fee of $5, then you pay roughly anywhere from $90 a week (an up) or $275 a month (and up depending on designer etc..).

So, you can see our verdict is still out…

Check it out…View the Entire Designer Bag Collection at BagBorrowOrSteal.Com

Please let us know what you think. If you use this site and love it, let us know.
If you’ve used the site and hate it, let us know!! Remember, you can make a comment on our site anonymously…so don’t worry!

Baby, It’s Cold Outside!

February 13, 2007

With the crazy-cold weather we’ve had lately, skin and hair can suffer!
Here are some helpers :

L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream 5.2 oz is available at Sephora…and is the only thing that can save your hands and cuticles from looking like a dry, ragged mess. Keep one in your car and in your bag to reapply when going outdoors.

Phyto Phytokarite Hair Treatment Mask With Shea Butter is serious moisture for dried out hair…get it online at Sephora or at Ivos Salon.

Exfoliate the bod with Philosophy Gingerbread Man 20 oz and follow up by moisturizing with L’Occitane Ultra Rich Body Cream 7 oz.

Chapped lips will benefit from Fresh Sugar Lip Balm SPF 15 .15 oz.This wears really well under lipstick and as a heavier layer overnight.

Worth a Try??

February 12, 2007

Nutraceuticals… new technology in skincare that isn’t a lotion, cream or procedure…it’s a supplement. A new release that’s been getting alot of positive press recently is Imedeen.

Here’s what the blissworld.com website has to say:

“Sold in Europe and Asia since 1991, Time Perfection is clinically and scientifically shown to increase your skin’s density, moisture and protein synthesis while visibly decreasing fine lines and wrinkles. The result is skin that looks softer, smoother and younger- from head to toe. Comes with an informative CD. 3-month supply (180 tablets) or 1-month supply (60 tablets)”

What do you think? It sounds logical to me…
